Q: Who is eligible to be considered as a Experience Genie Hero?

A: Nominations must be in the name of a single individual, at least 5 years of age.  Groups and organizations are ineligible for consideration. Self-nominations will not be accepted.

Q: How will I know if my hero is selected?

A: Because of the high volume of nominations received, we cannot respond individually to each submission. However, if your nomination advances, we will contact you through the contact information you provide.

Q: What if I don’t know my nominee’s address, e-mail, and telephone number?

A: Please make every effort to provide as much contact information as possible. We require either an email address or telephone number so we may quickly contact your nominee if needed.

Q: May I submit additional supportive information about my nominee?

A: There’s space at the end of the form to provide links to articles or Web sites with more information about your hero. Please do not send additional materials unless requested.

Q: May I mail or fax my nomination?

A: No. All nominations must be submitted online through our Web site.

Q: What if my nomination form is rejected?

A: When filling out your form, please note that certain information is required. Those fields are marked with an asterisk (*). If you are not certain of your hero’s nationality, select “Other” from the country drop-down menu. Likewise, if you’re unsure which category their cause belongs in, just click “Other.”

Experience Genie is not responsible for technical problems that may prevent your submission from being successfully transmitted. You may wish to first write and save the answers to essay questions in a word-processing document. That way, if you need to re-submit your nomination, you can “cut-and-paste” those answers into the form without re-writing them.


In order to be eligible for a Experience Genie Hero Wish or Dream Day (the “Wish Program”), nominees must be at least 5 years of age or older as of the current calendar year and some portion of nominee’s activities must have taken place in this calendar year or be ongoing, and nominees can not have previously been selected as a Experience Genie Hero. Nominations submitted in prior years which meet all requirements of these legal disclosures will also be considered Eligible Nominees. People submitting nominations (“Nominator(s)”) must be at least thirteen (13) years of age as of November 25, 2010. The Wish Program is open to Eligible Nominees worldwide   At any time, at Experience Genie’s discretion, a Nominee may be deemed ineligible for nomination or participation in the Program, be deemed ineligible to receive a prize under the Program or have the prize otherwise due such person as part of the Program (if any) donated to a charitable organization selected by Experience Genie in its sole discretion. Employees and immediate family members of Experience Genie are not eligible to participate in the Wish Program or submit nominations.


To submit your nomination for the Awards Program log on to www.ExperienceGenie.com and fill out the submission form providing all required contact information for you and your nominee. Nomination MUST be submitted online. Mail-in nominations will not be accepted. Nominations must be submitted on behalf of another person. Self-nominations will not be accepted.Nominations must be submitted in English only. Nominations may only be submitted in the name of a single person; group nominations are not acceptable. False or deceptive nominations or acts may render a nominee ineligible. All nominations become the property of Experience Genie and will not be returned. Experience Genie reserves the right to edit the nomination as it sees fit for use in publication or promotion. By submitting a nomination you agree to grant Sponsors the right without obligation, unless prohibited by law, to use the contents of your nomination, your name, voice, picture and likeness, without compensation, for the purpose of advertising and publicizing all matters related to the Wish Program and/or the Sponsors in any medium, throughout the world in perpetuity.


Nominees may be contacted to provide additional information and have their information verified. Experience Genie reserves the right to request and require additional information from nominees in order to have their nomination considered.

For our international users, please be aware that the information you submit when registering for our services is collected in Canada. In addition to being subject to our privacy policy located at Experience Genie, the collection, storage, and use of your data will be subject to Canada laws and regulations, which may be different from the laws and regulations of your home country. By registering for this program, you are consenting to this collection, storage, and use.


Submissions will be judged by Experience Genie from among all eligible nominations received. If more than one nomination is received for a particular nominee, Experience Genie, in its sole discretion may consider any of the nominations for that individual in its judging.

• A Experience Genie Review Panel (“Panel”) will select the nominees and ultimate heroes.

• In some cases The final round of judging will be done by an online viewer vote conducted onwww.ExperienceGenie.com . In these cases you will have the chance to vote in an online poll for the Hero whose accomplishment, impact and story best exemplifies a Experience Genie Hero. The Nominee who collects the most votes will be the winner (the “Winner”).

Experience Genie shall declare all official Winners. All Nominees are subject to verification by Experience Genie and must meet all eligibility requirements including the execution and return of all necessary releases, or they may be disqualified. The decisions of the Panel will be final and binding. Whether a nominator is identified and which nominator is identified, if there are multiple nominations for one individual, is in the sole discretion of Experience Genie. Experience Genie is not bound by any voting or judging mechanism set forth herein as it maintains sole discretion to name Heroes and provide wishes.

Notification and Publication

Some nominees may be notified by phone, email, or postal service and may be required to submit additional information.

Finalists and any nominee to be featured online or on-air may be required to sign an affidavit verifying their eligibility in this Program including, but not limited to, liability releases, tax acknowledgment forms and, except where prohibited by law, use of name and likeness releases (“Release Documents”) and return such documents within seven (7) days of issuance of notification. Execution of the Nominee Documents will grant Sponsors the right, unless prohibited by law, to use the Nominee names, voices, likenesses, and any of the material provided by them or about them without compensation, for the purpose of advertising and publicizing the services of the Sponsors, all matters related to the Wish Program throughout the world in perpetuity. Notification and/or the featuring of a nominee in no way conveys that a particular Nominee has or will be selected as a Winner. If at any point a Nominee becomes ineligible, chooses not to participate in the Program or is disqualified for any reason, Experience Genie reserves the right to select an alternate Nominee.


Finalists and Winner are responsible for the reporting and payment of all taxes as well as any other costs and expenses associated with acceptance and use of an award not specified herein as being awarded. Please consult your tax advisor regarding the taxation of your award since special rules may apply.


If, for any reason, the Wish Program is not capable of running as planned, including infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failures or any other causes beyond the control of the Sponsors which corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of the Wish Program, Experience Genie reserves the right in its sole discretion to disqualify any individual who tampers with the entry process and to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the Wish Program. Sponsors assume no responsibility for any error, omissions, interruption, deletion, defect or delay in operation with transmission, communications, line failure, theft or destruction or unauthorized access to or allegation of submissions. Sponsors are not responsible for any problem or technical malfunction of any telephone network or lines, computer online systems, servers, equipment or software, failure of any email or entry to be received on account of technical problems or traffic congestion on the Internet or at any website, phone lines, or any combination thereof, including any injury or damage to a participant’s computer related to or resulting from participation in this Contest. CAUTION: ANY ATTEMPT BY A PARTICIPANT TO DELIBERATELY DAMAGE ANY WEBSITE OR UNDERMINE THE LEGITIMATE OPERATION OF THE Wish PROGRAM IS A VIOLATION OF CRIMINAL AND CIVIL LAWS AND SHOULD SUCH AN ATTEMPT BE MADE, SPONSORS RESERVES THE RIGHT TO SEEK DAMAGES TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW.

Sponsors are not responsible for any late, lost, garbled, misdirected, incomplete, or damaged entries; any disruptions, injuries, losses or damages caused by events beyond the control of Sponsors; or any printing or typographical errors in any materials associated with the Wish Program. The Wish Program Entities are not in any way responsible or liable for the use of the funds donated or for any damage, loss or injury (including death) resulting from participation in the Wish Program and/or acceptance and use of any awards won.

Online voting is available to anyone with an email address. Simply go to here and follow the links to vote. During the vote window, you will see a ‘vote’ button. When you click on the ‘vote’ button you will be directed to a page where you will need to enter your e-mail address, first and last name.  If you successfully submit your vote, you will receive a page which thanks you for your vote.

When can I vote?

During the defined time.  Each city is different but we always ensure that each nominee gets the same amount of voting time.

How much does it cost to vote?

How many times can I vote?

When voting online at www.ExperienceGenie.com you may vote up to 10 times per person. Any additional votes you cast or attempt to cast above these limits will NOT count.

We reserve the right to disqualify, block or remove any votes from any individual who votes by any electronic, mechanical or automated means, or otherwise tampers with the vote process.

How do I know my vote has been counted?

You will receive a ‘thanks for voting’ confirmation message after you vote. However, please note that if you vote online only your first 10 votes will count.
